Added elements in ASTM A36 pipe alloys include manganese, carbon, phosphorus, silicon, sulfur and copper. ASTM A36 seamless pipe is evaluated using a tensile test, which checks parameters such as tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of the product. These properties must match the expected tensile properties.
Carbon steel astma 36 water pipes are structural grade and have good weldability and can be welded by any of the following techniques: gas metal arc welding, i.e. GMAW welding or MIG welding, shielded metal arc welding, i.e. SMAW welding or stick welding, and Oxyacetylene welding. ASTM A36 steel pipe can be hardened or carburized using any of the conventional techniques used for alloy steel grade AISI 1018.
